Abi and Eli | Colorado Wedding Film August 14, 2017
We can’t say enough wonderful things about Abi and Eli. We knew we liked them from the first time we met them for coffee at Hooked on Colfax. They were so kind and down-to-earth.. and they were super excited about our films! I love that they had already crossed videography off of their list, until they saw our videos! And we are so glad they changed their mind and allowed us to be part of their day.
We were with them for about 11 hours on their wedding day, and it flew by! We started at the Omni Interlocken Hotel in Broomfield where they got ready in separate rooms. Oh, I love being there when couples are getting ready. There is so much wonderful anticipation in the air and everyone was so excited 🙂 Not to mention Abi’s dress was a DREAM.
Then they opted for a first look. But not just any first look. The. Most. Epic. First. Look. We’ve. Ever. Seen. On top of Lost Gulch Lookout. You couldn’t ask for a more romantic place to see your about-to-be-husband/wife for the first time on your wedding day. The drone shots in their film make me gasp out loud every time I see them. And I’ve watched their film a lot!
Then it was on to their ceremony and reception venue, Lionsgate Event Center. This was our first time shooting there and we are hoping it’s not our last! Talk about a cool, eclectic space. Everywhere you look there is unique art, wall murals, stained glass, chandeliers.. things you don’t think should ever go together, but it works and it’s awesome. After their ceremony, which included the most romantic vows (you have to listen to them in their film if you haven’t already!) it was time to party, and party they did! The dance floor was never empty, and they introduced us to a super fun tradition where the bridge and groom both stood on chairs with a veil between them and the wedding guests (all of them!!) tried to force it apart! At least that’s what I think was going on haha. It was hilarious to watch, and made for some great footage.
And when the night came to a close, they had our favorite type of exit ever! Sparklers!!! They are so fun and gorgeous on film! Yay!
Thank you Abi and Eli for having us, we wish you all of the love and happiness in the world.
Here are some of our favorite film stills!
