Kayla and Corey | Colorado Wedding Film September 11, 2017
We booked Kayla and Corey’s wedding about 2 weeks before their date!! They had a different wedding video company lined up, but they were acting extremely fishy and cancelled last minute. I would normally never drag another company under, but after some extensive research it’s been determined that this is actually a scam company and I will name them to hopefully prevent future couples from being in the same situation. Film Monkey.
That’s a situation no couple should ever be in, but the good news is, we were more than happy to step in! And we are so happy we got to meet this amazing couple. Kayla and Corey met at a friend’s party, but then spent many years together working summers at Foothills Pool, much like MANY of the friends and family attending their wedding. It was clear that the pool held a big place in their hearts. According to some of the toasts given, it took them awhile to take their friendship to the next lever, but we are all happy the did 😀
Their wedding was held at Mile High Station in Denver, and what a COOL place! I loved the urban vibe, the exposed brick walls, and the gorgeous lighting. Their colors were navy blue and gold, and their flowers were SUNFLOWERS, which are some of my favorite flowers ever. AND you HAVE to check out the stills below of Kayla’s shoes. She’s a Harry Potter gal, like myself, and decoupaged her shoes with PAGES OF THE BOOKS. So freaking cool.
The ceremony space was totally unique. Their super sweet ceremony was held on the second floor. The space was rectangular with an open middle, showing the first floor below. It was a dream for filming because we had a clear view of the bride and groom from every angle.
After some bridal party and couple shots over in a field near the building this group was ready to party 🙂 We got some awesome footage of this crew dancing and they really threw down. Smiles all around. And the icing on the cake is that, well, there was no cake 😀 They opted instead for pies for dessert! Our first ever Pie-Cutting, haha.
We are so happy to have been a part of this day, and are thankful that we could help this couple two weeks before their wedding! A huge thanks to Andrew Nease for shooting this wedding with me…Paul was studying to take the BAR EXAM on this day, so thanks Andy for stepping in 🙂 Such a great video community here in Colorado.
Congratulations Kayla and Corey, we wish you a beautiful future together!
Here’s something we’ve never added into a blog post! Here’s their ceremony in full!
And finally, some of our favorite film stills 🙂 Congrats, guys!!
